This is the power of the Web. We posted a reader's question about where to get a bookcase built on Monday, they had an answer by Tuesday, and we discovered a great resource to add to the Stores Guide, where you will always be able to find it.

Wood-O-Rama specializes in mouldings of all kinds, but they also do kitchens, cabinets, raw lumber, and have a full service carpentry shop. Check this out:

My Dad has been using Wood-O-Rama for years for his own carpentry projects -- bookcases, cabinets, bureaus, desks, etc. He shows them a drawing of his design and specs for all the pieces including size and type of wood. Then they cut it to size, and do any special cuts that require special tools. When he gets the pre-cut pieces, all he has to do is the assembly and finishing (sanding, staining, painting). But I believe that if you want them to do the assembly and finishing they will.

It is all true. Wood-O-Rama says that no job is too big or too small for their master craftsmen. Now all we got to do is get ourselves up to 108th street (and for that we would call Delancey car service and hire the van). (thanks, John!) MGR
